A47 closed at Guyhirn Roundabout after ‘serious’ collision

The A47 has been closed at the Guyhirn ROundabout after a ‘serious’ collision, police have said.

The road is now closed between Guyhirn roundabout and Cromwell Road, Wisbech roundabout while emergency services work at the scene.

A police spokesman said: “We were called at 12.28pm today (8 September) to reports of a collision involving a car and an HGV on the A47 at South Brink, Wisbech.

“Officers are currently at the scene, together with paramedics and firefighters. It is believed at least one person has been injured, but the severity of injuries are unclear at this stage.”
