VIDEO UPDATE: Two lorries and car crash shutting A47 at Wansford

A serious collision between two lorries and a car has closed the A47 at Wansford this morning, Friday February 24.

The crash took place on the eastbound carriageway just before 8am close to the junction with the A1.

Nobody has been seriously injured say police, but an ambulance is in attendance as a precaution.

The carriageway is closed between The Drift and Marholm Road.

The road is likely to remain closed for some time as a result of the crash and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
