The driver was stopped for filming the crash as he drove past it on the westbound A14 at Swavesey today, Tuesday December 19.

Nobody was injured in the crash which saw two vehicles leave the road, one, a Toyota 4X4 ending up on its side, and caused one lane to be closed as well as long delays.

However, police spotted the driver filming the scene on his mobile phone.

He was stopped and given a £200 fine, which he paid at the roadside, but not before he tried hard to negotiate the fine down to £100 on the promise ‘He’ll never do it again.'
