UPDATE: Woman hospitalised after serious crash on Frank Perkins Parkway in Peterborough

The crash took place at around 12.20pm and police and fire crews are on the scene.

One woman in her 20s sustained injuries and on lane of the westbound Frank Perkins Parkway was closed as well as both lanes of the slip road onto the carriageway from Boongate.

The Magpas attended and assessed the woman who had sustained multiple injuries and was trapped inside the vehicle.

The Magpas team provided her with advanced pain relief, providing advanced A&E level care at the scene, and anti-sickness medication, so that she could be safely extracted.

The patient was then taken by land ambulance to Peterborough City Hospital, where she was in a stable condition upon arrival.

The road is now clear.
