UPDATE: Serious crash involving two HGVs on Frank Perkins Parkway in Peterborough

A serious collision has taken place on Frank Perkins Parkway in Peterborough this afternoon, Friday May 13.

The accident on the Frank Perkins Parkway

Police have reported that two lorries have “sandwiched” a Vauxhall Astra.

The crash has taken place northbound close to the Eye roundabout.

A police spokesman said motorists were “strongly advised to avoid the area” as there were long delays.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We received a call today at 1.54pm to reports of a three vehicle RTC to which we sent one ambulance crew to. Fortunately, the incident was damage to cars only and after a short assessment at scene, everyone was discharged and we shortly cleared.”
