Two trapped in overturned car in ditch after crash in Peterborough

Two people had to be cut free from their car after it rolled over into a ditch near Flag Fen in Peterborough.

On Monday, August 27 at 9.37pm, one fire crew from Stanground and one crew from Dogsthorpe were called to the two car crash on Pearces Road, Flag Fen.

Crews arrived to find two vehicles had been involved in a collision, with one vehicle on its roof in a ditch and two people trapped inside.

Using specialist equipment, firefighters released both casualties who miraculously were not injured in the crash.

Police shut the road between Storeys Bar Road and Willow Hall Lane to allow for recovery of the cars.
