TRAFFIC ALERT: Delays on Peterborough parkway and A1 closed in Lincolnshire

There are delays on Fletton Parkway eastbound between Nene Parkway and Stanground due to a broken down vehicle.

Further north, police have closed the A1 between the A46 and A52 near Grantham in both sides due to an overturned lorry between Foston and Long Bennington.

A police spokesman said: "We expect the road to be closed for the next few hours."

The lorry was travelling northbound when it crossed the central reservation onto the southbound side.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
