Rush hour pain on A47 as tailbacks stretch to Peterborough

Delays on the A47 have stretched into Peterborough, causing long delays in rush hour.

Cambridgeshire County Council’s Highways Service said at 2.45pm that there is an “obstruction” which is causing delays in both directions between Guyhirn and Wisbech.

However, the delays have now lengthened with traffic queuing back towards Thorney.

The AA is also reporting an obstruction but said is not known what specifically is causing the delays.
