Police name pedestrian killed in collision yesterday - driver remains under arrest

Police have named a man who died in a collision in Wisbech yesterday morning, Tuesday March 21.

Arturas Matuzevicius, 49, of Lilac Close, Wisbech, was walking in Wistaria Road when the collision happened.

Emergency services were called to Wistaria Road in Wisbech at about 10.20am with reports of a collision involving a gold Rover 75 and a pedestrian.

Sadly Mr Matuzevicius died at the scene.

A 51-year-old man from Wisbech arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving remains at King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the collision is asked to call the Road Policing Unit on 101.
