Pedestrian seriously injured after car mounts pavement in hit and run

Two teenagers and a man in his 20s have been arrested after a car mounted a pavement and hit a pedestrian in a hit and run.

Officers are appealing for information following a collision in Ramsey Road, St Ives on Saturday September 1.

At around 8pm a white Citroen C1 mounted the pavement and hit a pedestrian opposite Slepe Hall Hotel, before driving away.

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.

DS James Rabbett said: “This incident could quite easily have been more severe.

“I would urge any members of the public with information to come forward so we can bring those responsible to justice.”

Two men in their teens and a man in his 20s have been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed to Thorpe Wood Police Station.
