Part of A1M near Peterborough closed after crash

The crash has taken place on the southbound carriageway between Sawtry and Norman Cross.

Two of four lanes were closed while emergency services attend the scene.

The AA reported that two lorries and 'some cars' are involved in the crash.

Traffic cameras show lane one of four remains closed for safety, despite the vehicles being moved to the hard shoulder. Lane two was also impacted, but that re-opened just after 08:20am.

Ambulance crews are at the scene treating the driver of a Volkswagen Golf.

It's causing long delays as a result and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
