Man arrested for driving offences after crash blocks Frank Perkins Parkway in Peterborough

A crash between a car and a van blocked part of Frank Perkins Parkway in Peterborough this morning, Tuesday.

Police were called at around 7am to the collision which partially blocked the A1139 Frank Perkins Parkway, westbound, between junction 7 for Oxney Road and junction 5 at Boongate.

The crash involved a black BMW 320 and white Ford Transit van.

The driver of the BMW, a 35-year-old man from Peterborough, has been arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs and driving without a licence and is currently in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station.

Not believed to be any injuries.

Recovery is on scene as of about 8.40am.
