Loose horses cause delays on A47 at Peterborough

Three horses got loose and caused delays to motorists on the A47 near Peterborough this morning, Monday April 18. The horses made it onto the eastbound carriageway close to the Ailsworth and Castor roundabout at around 7am causing delays between Nene Parkway and the A1.The police said they received numerous calls from motorists about the horses and were able to usher the animals safely back into a field by 7.30am.The horses were tethered and officers are in the process of tracing the owners of the horses to come and collect them.
