Long diversions will be in place overnight for much of this week as resurfacing work takes place on the bridge.
The bridge will be shut to motorists between 8pm to 6am. The closures are scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and could take place on Friday as well.
Signs will divert traffic along an alternative route which loops back into the city centre via Oundle Road, Nene Parkway, Longthorpe Parkway, Thorpe Road and over Crescent Bridge.
An emergency lane will remain open to ensure access for fire, ambulance and police vehicles. Pedestrian access across Town Bridge will also stay open at all times.
