Elderly woman killed on Cambridgeshire road yesterday is named

A woman who was killed in a collision on the A1123 between Wilburton and Haddenham yesterday (October 13) has been named by police.

Betty Rees, 79, of Walnut Tree Close, Stretham, was driving a silver Vauxhall Zafira that was in collision with a single decker coach at just after 11am.

There were five people on the bus, including the driver, and all except one were uninjured. One woman was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

A Magpas car crew and the East Anglian Air Ambulance were called to the scene at 11am, in addition to two ambulance crews and a hazardous area response team.
