Boy (5) suffers '˜life changing injuries' in collision with car in Peterborough
A spokeswoman for Cambridgeshire police said the boy, aged about 5-years-old, was involved in the incident at about 8.45am in Gunthorpe Ridings, Peterborough.
An East of England Ambulance Service Trust spokesman said the boy had suffered ‘potentially serious head and back injuries.’

Hide AdThe boy was taken to Peterborough City Hospital for further treatment. The police spokeswoman said he had suffered ‘life changing injuries.’
Officers are still at the scene of the incident, and the road has been closed throughout the morning.
A red hatchback, thought to have been involved in the collision, was still at the scene a number of hours later.
Dave Radwell, who lives a few yards away from where the accident happened, said: “It is a shock. The rapid response vehicle was here within four minutes, and the ambulance a couple of minutes later. The boy was put into the ambulance and taken away straight away.”
