Boy (5) still in serious condition following Peterborough collision - but injuries are no longer '˜life threatening'

A child seriously injured in a collision in Peterborough yesterday is no longer in a life threatening condition, police have said.

The boy, aged about five, was hurt when he was involved in the collision with a car on Gunthorpe Ridings at about 8.35am yesterday (Thursday).

He was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with head and back injuries, which were described as ‘life changing.’

This morning a Cambridgeshire police spokesman said the boy’s injuries were no longer ‘life threatening,’ but said he was still in a serious condition.
