The A47 is to be shut for hours after a serious collision at Ring’s End, Guyhirn.
The road is currently closed between the A141 at Guyhirn and the B198 near Wisbech.
Cambridgeshire police and the rest of the emergency services are at the scene with accident investigation work being carried out before carriageway cleanup and recovery can take place.
The road is due to be closed in both directions into the morning rush hour.
Road diversions are on the Highways England website.
There are currently no reports on injuries or the number of vehicles involved.
The collision comes a few days after the Peterborough Telegraph first reported that there has been a crash on the A47 from Thorney through Guyhirn nearly every five days from the start of May to the end of August this year.
