Keen cyclists Susan and Andrew Shackleton spent a tough six hours pedalling on an exercise bike at Waitrose in Stamford at the weekend to help raise vital funds for Thorpe Hall Hospice.

Susan, a senior sister at the hospice, took on the fundraising challenge in preparation for the Tour of Cambridgeshire which the couple will be hoping to complete in June.

On the day Susan and Andrew raised a total of £415

Waitrose employees Martin Warrener and Scott Eales also presented a cheque to Susan on behalf of Thorpe Hall after customers voted for the hospice to receive its Community Matters cheque in March.
