Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton for driving the fastest car in Formula One this season.

@jeffersonlake

Are you just upset there was no cyclist in the running for BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 2014?

@xAnder50nx

Haven’t watched the programme in years. It has no relevance any more.

@uponthisrock34

Don’t know why people get so upset with the winner.

Lewis Hamilton and Rory McIlroy would both have been worthy winners. but it’s boring to keep whinging at Hamilton as he didn’t vote. Well at least I hope he didn’t.

Lewis Hamilton gets the SPOTY for being a fast driver, yet I get a speeding ticket. Doesn’t seem fair.

@Peter27

Lewis Hamilton could only do a short speech at SPOTY as he had to fly out again to retain his UK tax exempt status.

@2010LeeHurst

Lewis Hamilton had the best car and had to beat one man. Just one single man.

He should never win SPOTY. He also has no personality.

@JimboWay6

Rory McIlroy will have to win all the Majors next year and hope that Lewis Hamilton suffers a puncture. What a farce of a SPOTY result.

@Diamondgeezer

People vote for their favourite sport without worrying about actual achievement.
