Sugar Club Survivor Pete back from NZ

There will be a familiar face at the Sugar Club Survivors night at The Met Lounge in Peterborough on August 26... co-founder Pete Elderkin who is flying back from New Zealand.

It promises to be a night to remember for anybody who was into ‘Alternative Music’ between the years of 1991 and 1999 in Peterborough when Saturday night meant the VIP Suite upstairs in 5th Avenue Nightclubfor the‘The Sugar Club’.

Twenty five years (and 16 days) on from the launch date in 1991, the original team of DJs will dust down the CD’ and relive those memories one more time .... Madchester Baggy / Grunge / Brit Pop / Big Beat and more.

Pete Elderkin - along with promoter Steve Jason - set up the night but left the UK to live in New Zealand.

However, he is returning to Peterborough to take his place back behind the decks at the 25th Anniversary Special Event - flying 11,597 milesto do so.

Doors open from 9pm, and entry is discounted with the flyers that you’ll see all around Peterborough from next weekend - and there will be 90p house spirits for 90 minutes from 9pm.
