St Paul`s Church, Fulney, is hosting services of prayers and remembrance for Liz and Katie Edwards every evening up to and including Saturday at 7pm.

Both Liz and Katie were members of St Paul`s where they were confirmed two years ago.

Priest-in-charge Rev Mike Chesher said: ”This is such an awful, devastating event that has taken place which no one is able to take in and process because it’s so tragic.

“It’s going to take a long time to come to terms with what’s happened to these two lovely people, but it draws everyone together and unites the community in their sense of shock and loss.

“After I first started at St Paul’s in 2012, I started up a drama club at the primary school and Liz just volunteered to help me.

“She was a great organiser who could think ahead, so committed and dedicated in that whenever she decided to do something, she did it.

“Liz was so reliable, so dependable, so trustworthy and so practical with the children, in both the drama club and our Messy Church group.

“Katie, who was in the drama group, was a gentle, lovely young lady who was always the same – genuine and caring.”
