Six arrested as cash and numerous stolen vehicles discovered following car stop

Six men have been arrested after a routine stop by police led them to the discovery of several stolen vehicles.

Officers stopped a vehicle in Meadow Drove in Earith yesterday, Tuesday June 28, at about midday following information that it may have been stolen.

Subsequent enquiries led officers to properties in Earith and Bluntisham where they located several vehicles that were believed to have been stolen and a quantity of cash.

Three people were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle; a 30-year-old man from Ilford, a 29-year-old man from Dagenham and 23-year-old man from London.

Another three people were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods; a 46-year-old man from Cambourne, a 32-year-old man from Earith and 27-year-old man from London.

All six remain in custody at Parkside Police Station in Cambridge.
