Peterborough residents can renew or subscribe to the 2016-2017 Garden Waste Collection Service.

The service, managed by Amey on behalf of Peterborough City Council, will run from May 23 to May 19, 2017 and costs £39 for the year.

Collections run fortnightly for 10 months of the year and monthly in December and January, alongside households’ scheduled green bin collection.

There were 19,821 subscribers to the controversial brown bin charge in 2014/15 and 20,011 in 2015/16.

For an uninterrupted service, current subscribers will need to renew their collections by May 20.

Householders can pay for the service online (www.peterborough.gov.uk/brownbins) over the phone (01733 747474) or by visiting Bayard Place in Broadway between Monday-Friday, 9am-2pm.
