BUS users across the Peterborough area have said they are pleased with the service they are getting.
But many feel fares are too high according to a survey of Cambridgeshire bus passengers.
The survey found that while bus services have an overall satisfaction rate of 88 per cent with just 62 per cent satisfied they are getting value for money.
The survey, carried out by travel watchdog Passenger Focus, looked at many factors of passengers’ journeys such as punctuality, helpfulness and attitude of the driver.
The issue over fares will be discussed by Cambridgeshire County Council and local operators. Cllr Mac McGuire, the county’s head of passenger transport, said: “Thousands of people use our county’s bus services every day and it is really encouraging to see how well Cambridgeshire has performed.”
