Sacrifices remembered at service
The sacrifices made by thousands of people during the Battle of Britain were remembered at a moving church service in Peterborough.
Deputy Mayor and Mayoress Cllrs John and Judy Fox were at the service at St John’s Church in the city centre on Sunday.
Cadets from the Air Training Corp and veterans also attended the church, with cadets forming a parade outside the church.
They were inspected by Deputy Lord Lieutenant Brigadier Tim Seal.
A number of standards were also on display throughout the service.
The service was part of the celebrations of the RAF’s 100th anniversary, which is taking place this year.
