Cadets from the Air Training Corp and veterans also attended the church, with cadets forming a parade outside the church.

They were inspected by Deputy Lord Lieutenant Brigadier Tim Seal.

A number of standards were also on display throughout the service.

The service was part of the celebrations of the RAF’s 100th anniversary, which is taking place this year.
