He topped the charts for an unprecedented 16-weeks in a row, he’s played sell-out shows in New York, Madrid, Sydney, and now rock royalty Bryan Adams has today confirmed a date in Peterborough.

The Canadian, multi-platinum recording artist, Bryan Adams has confirmed he will perform in Peterborough next summer.

Bryan Adams will perform outdoors at The Embankment on Friday 5 August 2016, as part of his Get Up Tour of the UK and is one of a number of outdoor shows the Canadian rocker will perform in the UK in 2016.

Adams has spawned timeless and ‘larger than life’ singles such as Heaven, Summer of 69, Run to You and One Night Love Affair.

He is also renowned for his Everything I Do, I Do it for You single, which topped the singles charts worldwide including a whopping 16-week run at the top of the UK singles charts in 1991.

He said: “I’m delighted to be back on the road. It will give me an opportunity to perform tracks from my latest album, Get Up, as well as some of my earlier classics.

“It’s going to be a special show, performing outdoors in Peterborough and I hope my fans can join me.”

Bryan Adams released his latest studio album Get Up in October to much acclaim. It was produced by famed ELO frontman Jeff Lynne and features nine new songs and four acoustic versions, highlighting Adams’ unique voice and depth.

The outdoor show at Peterborough’s Embankment on Friday 5 August 2016 is being organised by concert promoters, LCC Live.

Its Director, Les Kidger, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be bringing Bryan Adams to Peterborough for one of his UK outdoor shows next year.

“We expect tickets to sell fast, which is testament to his reputation as one of the world’s most loved pop stars.”
