A CHARITY fun day will be held at a Hampton’s Serpentine Green Shopping Centre this weekend.
Staff from Andrex will be at Tesco in on Sunday, February 6, as part of their charity campaign to raise money for children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.
The fun day will include free face painting, puppy balloon giveaways as well as a super competition to win a Giant Andrex CLIC Sargent puppy soft toy.
Andrex has also created a limited edition CLIC Sargent puppy who’s wrapped up in a pink hat and scarf, which will be available with packs of Andrex sold at Tesco stores during February.
The toys cost £3.99, with £1 from each sale going directly to CLIC Sargent.
The money raised will contribute to the charity partnership’s goal to raise £5 million to fund CLIC Sargent nurses to help children with cancer spend more time at home and less time in hospital. These specialist children’s cancer nurses are able to act as key workers coordinating the care and support of children with cancer both in hospital and in the community.
Andrex spokeswoman Kara-Lee Ellingham said: “Andrex has a track-record of successful charity partnerships and we hope that our adorable limited edition CLIC Sargent puppy will help raise loads of money for CLIC Sargent. It enables our loyal Tesco customers to play a part and allows us to give something back to such a worthy cause.”
