It’s a balmy September day in Peterborough, it’s a sunny 16c and along Bridge Street the Christmas decorations are already going up!
With 91 days still to go until the big day on December 25, a number of Christmas tree decorations are already adorning the lampposts in the city centre.
With the switch on of the Christmas lights still two months away and Santa Claus’ visit more than three months away, Peterborough City Council have begun the mammoth task of making the streets come alive during the festive period.
Many people believe in the superstition that it is unlucky if you leave your Christmas decorations up after Twelfth Night, January 6, but is there ever a time when it is too early to put festive decorations up.
