In Hartwell Way, three caravans were first reported last Friday with police made aware. However, that had gone down to two caravans by yesterday afternoon.

A Peterborough City Council spokesman said the authority would be looking to have them moved over the weekend.

The council has also issued a Section 77 order against the travellers in five caravans in Ringwood.

They have until the end of today to move before they are taken to court.

The travellers who pitched up in Hartwell Way are believed to be different to the ones who were evicted from Bretton Park earlier on the Friday.

The unauthorised encampment first appeared at Bretton Park on Friday, May 20.

The police and council were made aware and an eviction notice was served.

The park was cleared ahead of the bank holiday weekend.
