Reports of phone scam where caller claims to be from Peterborough City Council
Peterborough City Council has said it has heard reports of a scam where callers pretend to represent the authority.
The council said the scam is to do with accidents, and that people should not give out personal information.
The authority always advises you do not give out personal details over the phone and if you receive a call claiming to be from the council and are in any doubt, call 01733 747474.
You can report scam calls by calling the police on 101 or Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
