Peterborough parliamentary candidates joined former Liberal Democrat MP, and TV show contestant, Lembit Öpik to discuss how they will support the future of motorcycling.
The hustings was run by the Motorcycle Action Group which Mr Öpik is director of communications and public affairs for.
Mr Öpik chaired the two hour debate which featured parliamentary candidates Stewart Jackson (Conservative), Darren Fower (Liberal Democrat), Mary Herdman (UKIP) and Darren Bisby-Boyd (Green) as well as Labour member Craig Douglas who was representing the party.
Around 40-50 bikers attended the debate on the evening of Tuesday, April 21 at the Wheels Motorcycles dealership in First Drove, Peterborough.
The action group’s vice chair, Dave Hammond, said: “All the questions were motorcycle related.
“Motorcycles are part of the solution to congestion problems and we want the government to recognise that.
“Lembit is an absolute star and his knowledge of motorcycles is exceptional.”
