Cambridgeshire County Council voted through a five per cent council tax rise on Tuesday, of which two per cent is an adult social care precept.

The rise will mean an increase of nearly £60 a year for a Band D property.

The council said if was funded at the same rate as an average London Borough it would receive £75 million more a year.
