A current Peterborough City Council employee is set to be appointed into a new role created as part of a senior management restructure.
Annette Joyce, currently head of commercial operations at the council will be the new service director for city services and communications.
A salary close to £70,000 will also be approved.
The job description for the role includes encouraging people to visit Peterborough, maximising income streams, developing and implementing a communications strategy and leading the co-ordination of major events in the city such as the Great Eastern Run.
The post holder has responsibility for revenue budgets of around £8.2million and will be responsible for approximately 50 members of staff.
A decision on the appointment will be made by the council’s Employment Committee.
