Police launch investigation after family escape from Spalding house fire

A family had a lucky escape after their house caught fire in Spalding last night (Thursday).

Police and fire crews are investigating the circumstances surrounding the blaze which took place in Medina Walk at 8pm yesterday.

Two adults and two children managed to escape the property. A 23-year-old man suffered from smoke inhalation and was treated at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston.

The second adult and children were not injured.

The house was not seriously damaged.

Currently the cause of the blaze has not been established and police have commenced an investigation supported by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue.

Anyone who has any information about the incident is asked to call police via the 101 non-emergency number, quoting incident number 394 of March 10.
