Plant apple trees in Stanground

Residents in Stanground have the opportunity to take home their very own free apple tree to plant in their garden.

On Saturday, March 26, there will be a drop-in event held between 10.30am and 4pm.

Visitors will be able to help plant over 500 trees and the first 100 Stanground residents to attend can also take away their own free apple tree with instructions for planting at home.

The event is being run by Forest for Peterborough, a project run by the Peterborough Environment City Trust.

It will be held at the green space next to the river off North Street (accessed via Wessex Close), Stanground, PE2 8HS.

Limited parking is available and the site can also be reached via the Number 3 bus.
