Worried residents have handed in a petition with 500 signatures to protest against any changes to Bretton Library in Peterborough.

The petition was handed into town hall by Anne and John Green from the Friends of Bretton Library.

The petition highlights concerns over any change to the opening hours at the library, based at The Cresset, and any potential job losses.

Anne said: “We did our own survey in a short space of time and had 49 responses.

“People are mostly concerned they would lose facilities such as job searching on the computers, lending books and children’s activities.”

The Friends of Bretton Library meet at the library on the first Saturday of every month.
