Umar Balogun, 16, drowned in a lake at the West Norfolk beauty spot on July 16, 2013. Lynn man Ryan Pettengell also died on the same day in a separate incident at Bawsey.

Earlier today (Wednesday, March 9) Vanday Cawley, 49, of Hazel Croft, Werrington, appeared at Lynn Magistrates’ Court when she denied a charge of failing to take reasonable care for the health and safety of Umar on July 16.

Castle Homes, based at The Manor House, High Street, Rothwell, near Kettering, have been charged with failing to discharge a duty to ensure that Umar was not exposed to risks to his health and safety.
