Peterborough woman arrested after cyclist seriously injured in road collision

A Peterborough woman has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a collision left a cyclist in a serious condition in Peterborough City Hospital.

The incident took place in Shrewsbury Avenue in Peterborough with Cambridgeshire police called at 11.40pm on Wednesday, October 21.

The male cyclist’s injuries were not said to be life-threatening.

The East of England Ambulance Service said the man in his 30s had suffered a cut to his head which was bleeding, but that he was conscious and breathing on their arrival.

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested and bailed until November 30.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call police on 101.
