Staff at Peterborough’s DMC Software Solutions,on the Minerva Business Park, has raised £500 for Diabetes UK by not sending Christmas cards. Over the year the firm has raised £3,854 for the causes, which is the firm’s nominated charity.
Group Marketing Manager, Jade Winters, said: “For 2015 DMC elected Diabetes UK as our nominated charity because it is a cause that affects the families of a number of people who work here.
“Christmas is a time for giving, so we wanted to continue our fundraising efforts.
“In place of Christmas cards we decided to make a donation to Diabetes UK, taking our total donations to the charity to £3,854.74 for the year – we hope the funds raised have made a difference.”
Teresa Strange, Diabetes UK Eastern fundraiser, said: “We are very grateful to DMC Software Solutions for their generosity and support this year.
“The funds they have donated will help us care for, connect with and campaign on behalf of the 3.5 million people currently living with diabetes.”
