The donation from Amazon will go towards the city charity’s new permanent
gym, designed for disabled people.

The team at Amazon was invited to visit Inspire Peterborough, a project of Disability Peterborough, to watch and take part in a Tai Chi class.

Speaking on the donation, site leader at Amazon Peterborough, Martin Cox, said: “We are glad to support such a great cause.

“Disability Peterborough helps countless people within our community and gives them the tools they need to achieve independence.

“We were delighted to be invited to the Inspire event – a very ‘hands-on’ introduction! It was lovely to see people coming together to support such a great charity.”

Sandie Burns, CEO of Disability Peterborough, added: “On behalf of everyone at Disability Peterborough, I would like to say a huge thank you to Amazon for this donation.

People who live with a disability have the right to the same opportunities as anyone else.

“This donation will help us continue to achieve our goal
of supporting people with
disabilities through their own journey to independence.”

The £1,000 donation forms part of the “Amazon In The Community” programme whereby the company supports the communities around its operating locations across the UK.
