The high street giant, which owns the Peacocks and Jaeger brands, has announced it is seeking a buyer as it edges closer to collapse.

The company, which has an outlet at the Peterborough One Retail Park, has announced it has filed a notice to appoint administrators.

The moves puts the jobs of 24,000 workers nationally at risk.

Bosses, who are reported to have written to staff today warning that lockdowns had damaged sales, is understood to be looking for buyers to keep the business going.

All stores will continue trading as the retailer carries out a 10 day review.
