Graham Wilde, Chief Operating Officer for North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Peterborough City, Stamford and Rutland and Hinchingbrooke Hospitals, said: “We need to move our emergency care staff to our main hospital so we can ensure we have a good range of skilled staff in place. This will be a temporary measure in place for the period of the health emergency only. We hope local people will understand how we need to react to meet the challenges of caring for our patients with Covid-19. We will review the situation regularly to ensure we can resume MIU Services in Stamford as soon as practicably possible.”

Alternative Minor Injuries Units are located at Grantham, Oakham, Corby and Spalding a well as the Urgent Treatment Centre in Peterborough.
