“At the static stands there will be full government-guided Covid restrictions in place, i.e. all volunteers will be in full personal protective equipment, social distancing is a must and minimal handling of products is required.

“Payments this year at the two principal static stands in Queensgate and outside the Town Hall can be done via contactless payment and any cash payment will be made straight into collection tins/buckets with no change being made available.

“Anyone wishing to collect poppy tins, wreaths or such like will need to contact the poppy organisers to make an appointment to collect, hence reducing congestion at the Town Hall static stand.

“We know these are unprecedented times with unprecedented actions, yet we will strive as we do every year to raise as much as we can.”
