This will be the third year that the fundraiser has been held. To date it has helped raise around £42,000.

Angela Hyde, chairwoman of the Peterborough Committee and the event organiser, said: “I am absolutely delighted that Toyah agreed to headline once again for us this year.

“We really try to go all out to offer an unforgettable experience for our guests. There will be live music and comedy throughout the evening with funds raised going to help a really worthy cause.”

Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies, children and young people.

It currently has over £11m invested in the work of more than 260 top researchers, working on over 60 projects across the UK.

As well as welcome drinks, a three course meal, a fun casino and live music from Peterborough-based The Latiesha Maria Band, there will also be a couple of guest stars supporting Toyah, including all-round entertainer Bobby Davro. The TV comedian, impressionist and singer will add a bit of Vegas ‘sparkle’ and get everyone laughing!

And the magician Paul Martin will be playing host and ‘wowing’ the guests with his amazing skills.

The ‘Las Vegas Cabaret Night’ is being held at the Holiday Inn West on March 20. Tickets are £80 each (with tables of 10 for £750) and can be bought online http://www.amr-peterborough.co.uk .
