The event – Music, Magic & More – will be held at The Holiday Inn West in Peterborough on April 24 and features an authentic Jersey Boys act; Michelle John, a finalist in the 2017 Voice UK; and magic from James Phelan, nephew of the late Paul Daniels.

The event host appeared in hit comedy Porridge with Ronnie Barker and many other television programmes; he won I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2007; is one of the most celebrated pantomime dames; and is friends with some of the world’s biggest stars.

Singer Michelle John has worked with Eric Clapton, Will Young, Paulo Nutini, Ed Sheeran, Joss Stone and Carole King.

Paul Daniels once said of his magician nephew James: “You’re funny. You look good. All your tricks work. If you were anyone else I would hate you.”

The fundraising evening kicks off with bubbles on arrival, a three course dinner with coffee and an evening of entertainment culminating in the opportunity to dance the night away. There will be some amazing prizes in the raffle and the chance to bid for some fantastic experiences in the auction.

“We have already had an amazing response to this event with only a handful of tables remaining to sell,” said event organiser Carol Collier.

“This replaces our annual Strictly dancing extravaganza this year but we believe it will be just as memorable an evening, and hopefully raise thousands of pounds to support children at risk locally and their families,” she added.
