Peterborough hero who helps others despite tragic loss
Atiq is a founder and one of the organisers of the Children of Adam charity and was also left devastated when his cousin died from coronavirus in April.
His heartfelt plea to take social distancing and lockdown measures seriously following the tragedy struck a chord with thousands across Peterborough.

“ This man is always there for the city of Peterborough and has been through this entire pandemic and also for many years prior. He is a true unsung hero.
“He works tirelessly to help anyone in need.”
Mr Rehman said he was delighted to be recognised with an award, but added: “We’ve been doing this from our soul, just to make a difference in the community.
“It’s something we’ve been doing the whole time of lockdown, since starting with delivering meals.
