Peterborough emergency services in incredible show of unity as city celebrates health heroes

Dozens of members of police, fire and ambulance services parked outside the hospital at 8pm this evening as once again on a THursday night Peterborough celebrated the key workers who are putting their health on the line during the pandemic.
A spokeswoman for Peterborough City Hospital tweeted: “The show of support from @CambsCops & @cambsfrs at #ClapForOurCarers tonight was truly amazing. Thank you to everyone who attended in support of our staff. We salute you too”

Hide AdTransport police, taxi drivers and railway staff also joined in claps outside Peterborough Railway Station.
And at Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice, nurses came out to show their support to their key worker colleagues.
Across the city residents came out of their homes,a nd stood on balconies and leaned outside windows to clap and cheer for the city’s health heroes.
