Peterborough City Hospital confirms sad news of more COVID-19 deaths

Caroline Walker, Chief Executive, for North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Peterborough City, Hinchingbrooke and Stanford and Rutland Hospitals, said all 13 patients had pre-existing underlying health conditions.
Ms Walker said: ““I can confirm that sadly, a total of 21 patients being cared for in our Trust have passed away since we began reporting Covid-19-related deaths (March 24).

Hide Ad“There have been eight at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and thirteen at Peterborough City Hospital.
“Patients were aged 30 to 90 years old and had pre-existing health conditions. They had all tested positive for COVID-19.
“Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patients’ families and loved ones at this difficult time.”
As of Sunday, April 5, Public Health England said there had been 48 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Peterborough, and 212 in Cambridgeshire. There have been 252 cases in Lincolnshire and 343 in Northamptonshire.
